I have always liked amaranth but I specifically bought this for my dog since we cook fresh for her, she loves it and so do I
This is great! It's kind of bland on its own but I added it to some granola that I made. I like to make my own granola because I can control what goes on it, and I started playing with some cool ingredients like this Amaranth pop and also quinoa flakes and buckwheat flakes. Stuff that you wouldn't find in store bought granola. Not vilifying foods, some are just not good for me that's all. It came out delicious and satisfying. Great with yogurt and fruit and as cereal. This adds a really fun texture that doesn't get soggy. It came safely packaged but I still moved it to an air tight container. I definitely recommend.
I have been buying this since my son became allergic to oatmeal. It has worked out very nicely for us. It cooks faster and taste better than oatmeal, which is something I always hated anyway. It can make overnight porridge and cookies just the way you would use oatmeal, and its a complete protein. I am extremely happy, that we have evolved past the disgusting Anglo American diet of the 50s. Uuuggg
I like to add it two salads for texture and protein.
Still trying to learn the best way to use it. It's listed as a good item in a new set of healthy recipes.
