The order arrived a day early, the sacha inchi, golden berries, and amaranth crispies all were vacuum packed, very fresh and delicious! Sorry I didn't get the bigger sizes, but will next time. The golden errires were tender, not hard at all. I am a repeat customer and will remain one. I found out that the sacha inchi seeds are served as bar snacks in restaurants in S. America. I had a minor issue and the Herbazest customer service reached out and solved it promptly.
These add a really nice crunch to anything. They have a very mild, yet earthy flavor. It's subtle enough that it goes with almost anything. Cereal is the most obvious and I really enjoy it. Yogurt works well too. The texture it adds to salad is great. Overall a very healthy addition to my food. The quality is very good.
These don't really have much taste on their own, but they're excellent for adding texture to different foods. I've been mixing this into my cottage cheese snacks since it makes the texture a lot more enjoyable and easier to eat.
These amaranth crispies have a nice crunchy texture and a neutral grainy taste. I mixed some with traditional sweetened cereal in milk, and it was absolutely delicious. I was able to reduce my intake of regular cereal and all the sugar that came with it, and still had a filling meal with good nutrition thanks to these Amaranth crisps. These crisps have a lot of culinary versatility. They can indeed be eaten by the handfuls straight out of the bag, but they are also great mixed with cereal, cooked on the stove in water or milk into porridge, and much more. Because they have a neutral taste and a crunchy texture that soften when they've been soaked long enough, the sky's the limit when it comes to what you can do with them. Overall these amaranth crisps are surprisingly delicious and versatile in the kitchen. It's also great that they are gluten free and organic. I find that they are great value for the money and would be happy to recommend them to anyone look for a gluten free grain to add to their diet.
