HOW TO USE IT
HerbaZest Amaranth Flour is a great plant-based source of complete protein. Its unique nutty and earthy flavor, along with important nutrients, can complement a myriad of homemade dishes, such as:
- Snacks & desserts
- Bread & crackers
- Pancakes & waffles
- Savory dishes
We used this as a gluten free alternative for thickening and also some flat bread. Honestly its really well ground and easy to work with. Because its so fine it worked great in a soup I made and the flat bread was to die for! The flavor is not super noticeable to me. It just tastes a little earthy maybe? But I also season all my breads and soups pretty heavily so I am not really giving the flour a chance to sing on its own. But if you are looking for a wheat flour replacement this stuff is a great option!
Pros: 1. Amaranth is a great super food and without sugar or gluten 2. Can be used to make a variety of recipes 3. Came in a great packing
I am a chef and Baker and have used this kind of flour before. I use it for a range of recipes. Everything from fried chicken or fish to banana bread and pie crust. It's very versatile and super healthy.
I have never tried amaranth flour so when I saw this I thought I would give it a shot. This is a great option for gluten free baking! The grind is super fine, making it great for all your baking needs. The flavor reminds me a bit of nut flours and it works similarly as well in recipes. The amount is a good starter amount to try this product, with plenty to work with on a variety of recipes. Love it!
Love this. I incorporate it in my breakfasts
