- Place the chia seeds in a small bowl and the oats in another one. Pour half of cup of warm water in each bowl, give it a mix, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Place all vegetables, kaniwa flakes, and spices as well as chia seeds and oats (along with the water) in a large bowl. Mix to combine.
- Mix it the flour. If the mixture is too wet, add more flour so that the mixture can be shaped into patties.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Shape the mixture into patties and fry them until brown, about four minutes per side.
