TRULY PREMIUM KANIWA
Organic & Pure Superfood
Our kaniwa is sourced directly from its birthplace, the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. Its tiny, reddish seeds grow on a beautiful flowering plant that thrives at high altitudes, despite harsh mountain conditions.
Wholesome and Easy To Use
Once our kaniwa seeds are harvested, they undergo minimal organic processing, consisting of simply rolling them into soft flakes. This enables the seeds to retain their nutritional profile, while producing an easily digestible, versatile superfood.
A great addition to your active lifestyle!

I had never heard of Kaniwa before, so when I saw this and read the reviews I decided to try it. I first tried a small amount right out of the bag, flavor?? So so. Then I toasted some in the oven, flavor was much improved. I added it to my homemade gluten-free hot cereal mix. Another great gluten-free option. Will definitely buy more when needed.
I make this for breakfast as a hot cereal and its been a huge benefit since discovering I have several food allergies. The flavor was a little grassy / hay like at first but I quickly became accustomed to the unique flavor and really enjoy it now. The recipe I use: 1 serving = 1 cup water and 1/3 cup kaniwa flakes, boil water, add flakes, stir, reduce heat to simmer and cover, cook for 8-10 minutes or until it reaches desired thickness. I then serve with any combination of butter, heavy cream, milk, maple syrup or sugar, my go to combo is butter and maple syrup. I stay full for hours with this meal. If Im extra hungry I double the recipe. Highly recommend!
I had never heard of kaniwa until recently, but I'm now into my 3rd package of it. It has a heartier flavor than quinoa (and a relative of it) or amaranth, has the highest protein profile of the three, and makes a wonderful addition to rotate or mix with any other hot cereal. And because it's flakes, it cooks quickly - which I especially appreciate.
Great product.
