Perfect for mixing into loose-leaf tea brews! Sweet and natural. I used approximately 2 of these dried stevia leaves in a cup of lemon balm herbal tea, and it was sweet enough for me--others might want a bit more. I think 6 oz will go a very long way. I'm excited to try mixing some custom blends, or just adding into loose leaf black tea. I may even try it in the French press with my coffee!
I am loving this whole leaf stevia! It's actually surprisingly hard to find pure stevia leaf without a bunch of other stuff added to it like flow agents and fillers. This is nice because I can sweeten my drinks naturally without adding all that extra stuff. It has a nice natural sweetness and you do get a little of that subtle herbal stevia flavor, but I like it. I've been using it in beverages instead of sugar and a little goes a long way. I also like that stevia doesn't have the same effect on blood sugar as regular sugar. Six ounces is actually A LOT of stevia! This bag will easily last me close to year. It comes in a nice resealable pouch, but I'll probably put mine in a glass Mason jar just because that's how I store things like this. I'm really happy I found it. It tastes good, it's simple, a good value and there aren't a bunch of unnecessary ingredients.
Very tasty for making sweet tea and diet sodas.
The leaves were 100% crushed when I got them. I only needed about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of this, which I put into my tea infuser alongside my loose-leaf tea. I suppose if they were whole, I'd need to split them in half anyway. I've been using pure stevia extract powder for about 2 years now, and this is quite comparable. It tastes pretty sweet, so you don't need a massive amount. This is an acquired taste, and it doesn't taste like sugar since it's stevia, so don't be surprised if it tastes different.
This tastes like stevia. 6oz. Is about 4 cups of the leaves. You get a lot of leaves.
