I love me some mint tea! I think it is the premium herbal tea and I am always up to try new mint blends. But I also did not expect this Andean mint to be such a strong and refreshing flavor! Its like super-mint! There is a weird sense of freshness and... uhhh... altitude(?) to this tea! I felt like I was drinking it on top of a high ridge or something. I am not being terribly eloquent here but whether it be a trick of the mind or not, I felt like I was in a mountain range when I drank this. I guess it tracks given its providence. If you are a mint lover... I highly suggest you give this a shot!
OVERALL IMPRESSION: I like mint tea. I have tried many different mint teas from branded, to bulk, to fresh mint. Thus, when I say that this mint tea is fantastic, understand where I am coming from. The flavor is strong sweet mint with zero hint of bitterness. You must try it to understand how good this tea is. FORM: Loose leaf /ADDITIONAL UTENSILS: Strainer / SMELL RAW: Minty / STEEPING TIME: Steeped 5 minutes / COLOR STEEPED: Light golden / SMELL STEEPED: Minty / TASTE STEEPED: Amazing sweet mint flavor. The mint is so sweet it almost tastes like you added a little honey. Truly one of the best, if not the best, mint tea that I have ever tried.
Buenísimo me hizo recordar a casa.
The moment you open the bag, the aroma of this Muna tea hits you! You already feel good! :) This tea seems to be a variety of Mint that grows in the Andes mountains. I brewed a cup as soon as it arrived and enjoyed it thoroughly. It's great refreshing herbal tea with a bold taste. Though on the Details Page they suggest adding sweetener or lemon, honestly - I didn't need that, because the flavor is strong and has its own "personality", if you will... Since it's loose herb, I will also use it in cooking, adding wonderful flavor to sauces and such. And by the way, the plastic bag is solid and closes tightly and easily. Product of Peru.
Great tasting mint tea. It def has a unique flavor when compared to other mint teas that I've had and not in a bad way. I can't comment on the claimed health benefits as that would take months to see the effects occur, but that also doesn't matter to me as I only really care about tea as it relates to tea without any peripheral effects. It doesn't have the strongest flavor, but it's nice and consistent with a floral back not that I find refreshing.
