El extraordinario Goldenberry

Historia y tradición

Goldenberry has been cultivated in the Andes since pre-Inca times. After reaching South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope during the 18th century, it became known as Cape gooseberry and gradually spread to other subtropical regions around the world.

Nutrientes y compuestos

Goldenberries are rich in carotenoids, including vitamin A precursors, and provide fiber and micronutrients. They also contain beneficial compounds such as polyphenols and flavonoids that contribute to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Versatilidad culinaria

Goldenberries can be enjoyed fresh, dried, juiced, or powdered. Their distinctive sweet and tangy flavor complements fruit salads, yogurt, smoothies, trail mixes, snacks, preserves, and a variety of other sweet and savory dishes.
